This record explores and evaluates my life state from the Ghost Ship tragedy in 2016 until the end of COVID shelter-in-place in 2021. I experienced confusion which led to me breaking and setting aside ideas, concepts, and perceptions that I have held for much of my life. Using sound as a vehicle, this record goes deep into myself. It opens the Pandora’s Box of ignored and suppressed feelings by the forced removal of self-imposed restrictions. I used new and different methods to create this sonic landscape so I could experience my feelings in the moment, as well as provide the space to reflect on my past and project my future. I've organized these musical emotions into motifs inspired by the Stages of Grief. My hope is that the record which helped focus my hard emotions will also allow others the space to reflect, forgive, and grow.
